Why do you officiate Football?

I love football. I played in high school and in college at Carroll College in Helena, MT until I hurt my hip pretty bad. This allows me to stay close to the game but I am also invested in the outcome.

Highlight of career:

I have been fortunate to have worked in many different games at many different levels, it would hard to be pick out one moment.  I would say that being selected by my peers to work a State Championship game in both Idaho Washington is up there.

Favorite memory of career:

I was a Back Judge in a State Championship game on the blue turf in Boise.  It was snowing big flakes it was just a great setting.  It was Eagle vs Coeur d ‘Alene.  The Eagle team had a kid named Tanner Mangum who was the QB, we heard he had a big arm.   Like in Washington when a QB roles it basically closes the other side of the field down.   Well he rolled and then threw one back across the field and it landed over my head.  I turned and the WR was on the ground, I had no idea how he got there.  Luckily the Corner was no where near him because like me he thought there was no way it would come his way.   I play the back judge position much different because of that one play.  They setting in that stadium on the blue turf with the snow coming down was just awesome.
